Trevor Nelson

Trevor Nelson

Program Director | Vice President & CFO

Trevor Nelson, originally from Austin, Texas, was first introduced to RPR-GENESIS as a client, seeking help while in the depths of addiction. After many unsuccessful attempts to get clean and sober prior to coming to RPR-GENESIS, Trevor found long-term recovery with the guidance of our founder, Lance Porter. Despite a lifelong career in the film and television industries, Trevorโ€™s focus shifted to more meaningful workโ€”helping others find recovery, just as Lance did for him. Since joining the RPR-GENESIS team, Trevor has discovered his true passion: helping people break free from addiction and transform their lives. Clean and sober since February 12th, 2019, Trevor is now dedicated entirely to helping others recover from the grips of addiction.

What Our Clients Say

RPR-GENESIS is a great place to recover from addiction. I've had a very good experience here. Lance, Trevor, Ripley really care about their clients and they do excellent work. The vibe and atmosphere in the house and among the other clients is strong. I recommend this place highly.

I write this review with the most sincere gratitude to RPR-GENESIS for embracing my son as he has embarked on his journey as a sober young adult. I have jokingly said, "this is the best fraternity in the world", but honestly, it seems to be true. In a house filled with men of different ages, all of the clients sharing the common goal of sobriety, the camaraderie there is palpable. The residents each bring their own experiences and strengths to the home, creating an atmosphere where the clients can learn and grow with support and confidence. The staff is dedicated and caring, going above and beyond to inspire the clients to embrace the most positive aspects of their own characters. Perhaps the greatest blessing for my son is that many of the clients living there are also musicians. Lance, the owner and founder of RPR-GENESIS, is a musician himself, and he clearly recognized the need for there to be a separate space in the house where the musicians can play and create music. In this space, they can explore and expand their musical passions with like-minded people. This is a priceless gift to the clients. My son has been at Rancho Park for over year now, and has continued to grow and thrive in all aspects of his life. Although I believe his progress is mainly due to his own commitment to himself, I know that the house he resides in and the people surrounding him have played essential roles in his continuing journey. Your support means so much... I sincerely thank you. Dede

My son has been helped so much by this house. It has a great balance of caring for him while proving structure to get him back on his feet. The staff encourages daily fellowship and sharing and is extremely understanding of all of the challenges of early sobriety. They know everyone has their own goals to get back on track to living independently. He has support in getting resources for these goals and a watchful eye to help hold him accountable when needed. Music is extremely important to him so the music room has been crucial for him to stay connected with himself and others. We also feel heard as a family who is doing their best to be supportive when we live across the country.

This place really helped me turn my life around. Iโ€™ve been to much more expensive places that didnโ€™t do near as much for me as these guys did.

I was fortunate enough to have a friend refer me to RPR-GENESIS over a year ago. I was at the lowest point in my life. Mentally, physically and emotionally. They slowly guided me back to health. They were caring, compassionate, warm, thoughtful and just understanding as the guys that own and run the place, Lance and Nick both went thru the same thing as myself. If you are suffering from any form of addiction I highly suggest you reach out to these fabulous gents.

Rancho Park recovery has helped me get on track. After numerious attempts at different treatment centers in the Los Angeles area, they gave me the structure to make a life for myself. I was really lost and it was this or end up in jail or maybe even die from my abuse of drugs and alcohol. I don't know where I would be today without this sober living. It really changed my life for the better. I am forever grateful.

This house is amazing. Lance and Steven are helping me stay sober. These guys genuinely care about me and the other people in my house. The location next to the park is an added bonus to the amazing support I have received here. Kudos

The amazing staff touched our family with their compassion and willingness to do whatever it took to help our son be successful in his sobriety. The house provided a great combination of fellowship and accountability to his goals.

This is truly such an amazing sober living. RPR-GENESIS was the last stop for my boyfriend after so many years of failed attempts to stay sober. Coming to this house truly helped him be successful in his recovery. The structure here is incredible as the staff are so attentive and patient. With all the other sober livings I have had experiences with I can definitely say that RPR truly cares about the men coming into their house and do such a good job of creating the cornerstone necessary for a strong foundation in sobriety. They definitely go above and beyond and I am so grateful to them!!!! Would highly recommend them to any loved one needing help. They are affordable, honest, thorough and so good at what they do!

The Real Deal. Great house. Nick and Lance run a tight ship. Their hearts are sincerely invested in helping people get on their feet. Safe, clean, and a well structured environment. Not a flop house. It's a great house for musicians. Decent music room with equipment. There were a lot of talented guys there during my stay. The location is choice. Public trans is a breeze. Nick and Lance are flexible dudes who are willing to lend a hand if they can, but they are strict about any using. No exceptions. The guys around you will be sober, and will be serious about it. RPR gave me solid ground to stand on. I'm back on my feet with 130 days of sobriety. The coffee sucks, but I still give them five honest stars.

This place is special. We sent our friend here after he had been to several other places. He has been sober over a year now, and has found a real community that encourages his health, happiness, and sobriety.
